Not Islanders news, but a very cool development for The Fourth Period. Below is the press release:
Toronto, ON and Los Angeles, CA – The Fourth Period, one of hockey’s leading destinations, announced today that its “The Fourth Period LIVE” show will expand to a Saturday three hour program prior to Sirius/XM Home Ice’s play by play coverage. Debuting November 5, the show will air at 4PM Eastern on Sirius 92/XM 207 and be co-hosted by Daniel Kingerski, the show’s current host, and David Pagnotta, TFP’s Editor-in-Chief.
“This is huge for The Fourth Period. It’s a great opportunity for fans to get a full preview of Saturday’s games. Many listeners of Home Ice want the latest before matches. We’ll give it to them through our network and will be a must listen,” said Pagnotta from his Toronto office.
“We are very thankful to the entire team at the network including Joe Thistel, for taking our show to the next level. The Fourth Period LIVE will be more combative, exciting and passionate. It's always fun dissecting the game we love,” stated Kingerski, who continues as a show co-host.
“Sirius/XM believes in our brand through the success of our men’s lifestyle magazine and website. The Fourth Period LIVE is the perfect brand extension from a radio standpoint and we thank them for this opportunity,” conveyed Dennis Bernstein, an executive producer and newly announced regular for the show.
Utilizing live in-market updates from TFP’s team of reporters throughout the league, and other NHL insiders, The Fourth Period LIVE will give listeners up-to-the-minute news prior to the puck being dropped.
