The Islanders are in the midst of a three game slump and many fans would expect some change to the Islanders lineup for tomorrowâs rematch against the Pittsburgh Penguins. But according to Islanders head coach Jack Capuano it hasnât crossed his mind.
âAs a coach you think about that,â Capuano said following Tuesdays 3-0 loss to the Penguins. âBut I mean we had 33 shots tonight, we had 17-18 scoring chances tonight. Itâs not like we played real bad or poorly. I thought that the guys worked hard and they created some offense, so celebrity gossip it hasnât really crossed my mind yet.â
John Tavares was also asked about the possibilities of line changes after last nightâs game.
âI donât know,â Tavares said in response. âI mean I think tonightâs the best, in the last few games, where we generated chances and offense and guys were skating well and the forecheck was much better. Iâm not sure, but whatever happens we still have to be a little better in some areas and find a way to put a few more in the net.â
