The New York Islanders play host to the Boston Bruins tonight in the final game of their five game home stand. The Islanders are unbeaten during the first four games with a 3-0-1 record.
This will be the third of four meetings between these two teams with Boston winning each of the first two games by scores of 5-2 and 6-3.
The Islanders, coming off an overtime win Tuesday night against Toronto enter tonight's game with a 26-32-10 record with 62 points, putting them 14th in the East. Boston, who lost last night in overtime to Buffalo, is 38-20-9 with 85 points and currently third in the East.
New York will try to defend home ice before going on an eight game road trip; the Islanders are 15-15-5 at home this season. They'll be in for a tough test as the Bruins are 22-8-4 on the road this season, the best road record in the NHL.
Puck drops at 7pm.
Other games of note tonight are Carolina at Washington and Minnesota at Dallas.
