The Islanders take on the Oilers tonight up in Edmonton. The Islanders are hot going 7-2-1 in their last tengames, the Oiler on the other hand have lost a season high seven straight games.
It is still unclear whether or not Rick Dipietro will start tonight for the Islanders. As reported by Newsday Dipietro did not practice yesterday, however Islanders Head coach Jack Capuano said that Dipietro was feeling better and would be a game time decision. It would be a safe bet to say that if Rick can't go that Nathan Lawson would get the start. Lawson made 28 saves with a .966 save percentage against the Flames on Monday.
In net for the Oilers will likely be Devan Dubnyk according to Islanders beat writer Katie Strang. The 24 year old last played December 30 against the Flames. He made 24 stops with an .889 saves percentage in the overtime loss.
Rob Schremp will make his first trip back to Edmonton and first time even facing his former team. Schremp was not in the lineup last year when the Islanders defeated the Oilers on Long Island.
The Oilers will be without star forward Jordan Eberle tonight. He is out with an ankle injury.
The Islanders will be without Mark Eaton due to a hip injury and Frans Nielson is questionable for tonights game.
