NewYorkIslanders.com is now reporting that the team has reached a contract with Jon Sim.
He recorded 22 points (13 goals, nine assists) in 77 games last season, his third with the Islanders.
Regarding the signing, Garth Snow noted that:
“Jon brings an unmatched work ethic and veteran leadership to our lineup and we’re excited to have him back for the upcoming season [...]”
Sim, a 5’10, 195 lbs. left wing, has 135 points (74 goals, 61 assists) in 435 career NHL games over the course of his 12-year career.
